Pass your test in a Manual car and you can drive both Automatic and Manual cars.
Each pupil’s lessons are structured to meet their own ability which enables them to learn at their own speed. The cars used for teaching are all modern and ideally suited to learning to drive being fitted with dual controls allowing the instructor to take full control if required. Tuition is always on a one-to-one basis with free pickup.

Our team of fully qualified Driving Standard Agency approved driving instructors, will make your driving tuition a rewarding and enjoyable experience. Our aim is to teach you to drive confidently and safely for life, not just passing the driving test.
Structured Training For New Drivers
LDS is an established driving school and we take care to ensure every aspect of your driving lessons are as comfortable and beneficial as possible. You can choose your instructor, your type of car (manual or automatic), when you would like lessons and where you would like to be picked up from.
Our aim is for you to pass your driving test as soon as possible but although we will challenge you to improve with each lesson, you will not be pushed. Steady progress is required for you to feel comfortable driving and acquire skills that will last you for the rest of your life.
Once lessons are underway, we will evaluate you and let you know when we think you should aim to take your test. We can help you with all aspects of booking your theory and hazard perception test as well as your practical driving test. Once your practical test has been booked, we recommend that you use the same car that you have been learning in so that everything is familiar as possible for the actual test.
Learning to drive is a fun but sometimes daunting experience so our Driving Instructors are trained and experienced to help you progress, no matter how much learning you already have had.
